RADIO BEACON WMS In a typical Warehouse

  • Using RADIO BEACON Web Dispatch, the warehouse manager assesses workload for the day, allocate priority orders and prints pick labels (tickets) for priority orders.
  •   Warehouse worker grab pick ticket and a cart.
  • Scan the pick tickets to load the orders on a RF handheld running a RADIO BEACON session.
  • Warehouse manager uses Web Dispatch to prioritize orders that require pick-bin replenishment.
  • Issues 'replenishment request' in
  • Warehouse worker hops on forklift and travels to all of the OVERSTOCK locations that contain products required for prioritized replenishment.
  • Directed by a handheld running a RADIO BEACON session   
  • Warehouse worker grabs the pallet that was fillet by the replenishment driver. 
  • Directed by a RADIO BEACON handheld to fill pick locations so that the pickers can get to work...
  • Meanwhile...a receiver uses RADIO BEACON enabled RF computer to receive product into the warehouse, checking products against the  original PO to ensure accuracy.
  • If products are not labeled, hits a function key to produce case labels from a nearby barcode label printer.
  • fallowing receipt, the receiver or a stock handler uses a RADIO BEACON handheld to put product away using the Direct Move/Directed Put-Away function.
  • Sometimes, receivers will put product away themselves, immediately after individual product receipts.
  •  Somewhere else in the warehouse, a worker is using a RADIO BEACON handheld to cycle account.
  • This is done in real-time, so 'no bin-freezing' during the accounting process.
  • At the end of the day, warehouse manager reviews picking statistics for the day on Web Dispatch.
  • Manager posts the results on a bulletin board so that the picking can see who is doing the best job in the group.
  •  Throughout the day, costumer service has been checking status of inventory and progress of sales orders on Web Dispatch.
  • Costumers can count on accurate information from customer service.
